Local artist Jelly Masse has generously donated one of her paintings to the Pontiac Archives for auction. All proceeds will help support the mission of the Archives to preserve our History and make it accessible to the public.

The piece is titled "Camping overnight on the Ottawa", a depiction of canoe travellers on the Ottawa River. It uses pen and ink on a birch panel, washed in sepia tones and gouache.

 Bids will be accepted until 10:30 am on October 22, 2025.

The winner of the auction may receive the painting in person at the Preserving the Past event at the Pontiac Archives on October 22, 2025 at 10:30. Payment should be made in cash or by cheque.

The Pontiac Archives is located at 358 Rue Main, Shawville, QC J0X 2Y0, in the basement of the Shawville Library.
